Erik ten Hag press conference live Manchester United team news ahead of Man City clash

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag will preview Saturday's Community Shield clash with Manchester City this afternoon.

The Reds are preparing for their third Wembley visit of the year after beating their cross-city rivals in May's FA Cup final. First-half goals from Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo sealed a deserved 2-1 victory.

United brought their pre-season preparations to a close last weekend with a 3-0 reverse to Liverpool in the United States. It marked a third defeat in five friendlies for Ten Hag's side.

However, United have been boosted by the returns of a handful of big-name players to Carrington over the past week or so. Luke Shaw and Mainoo were among those who returned to the club's training base this week.
