Erik ten Hag makes plans for Man United arrival as youngster provides answer to midfield problem

Here are your Manchester United morning headlines for Monday, May 16.

It won’t be long now until Erik ten Hag officially begins his time in charge as United’s new manager. The 52-year-old brought his spell at Ajax to an end on Sunday as he bowed out with a 2-2 draw at Vitesse Arnhem, having secured his third league title earlier in the week.

There could be another option much closer to home though. Shola Shoretire has been instrumental in United’s U23s enjoying a strong season, and has perhaps shown he deserves to be considered during pre-season.
