Erik ten Hag has an obvious Manchester United tactical change to make vs Tottenham

When the team news dropped at 7pm on Monday evening, Manchester United's starting line-up did not contain anything in the way of a surprise.

Though there was a debate about who would get the nod at right-back, the rest of Erik ten Hag's first starting line-up of the season picked itself. The Dutchman deployed what was his strongest available XI for the clash with RC Lens at Old Trafford nine days earlier and that felt like a nod to the team he would pick for the curtain-raiser against Wolves.

The likes of Andre Onana, Lisandro Martinez, Mason Mount, Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford all started the 3-1 victory over the French outfit and there was no way they would miss out on Ten Hag's first XI of the season. Alejandro Garnacho and Antony also started that lunchtime and left their calling cards.

Therefore, it was no surprise to see Ten Hag deploy a front-three of Antony, Rashford and Garnacho against Wolves. Antony started on the right, Garnacho was tasked with taking care of matters down the left and Rashford was stationed in the centre.
