Erik ten Hag gives Manchester United transfer and Cristiano Ronaldo updates ahead of deadline day

Manchester United do not expect any more incomings after they complete deals for Antony and Martin Dubravka.

Antony is already in Manchester to finalise his £85.51million transfer from Ajax and Newcastle goalkeeper Dubravka is set to arrive as back-up to David de Gea and Tom Heaton.

United have held exploratory discussions with Barcelona about right-back Sergino Dest but expect Aaron Wan-Bissaka to stay amid a lack of takers.

Dest is only regarded as a viable option if there is movement on Wan-Bissaka and United manager Erik ten Hag refused to rule out an 11th hour move.

When asked if United's business would be concluded after Antony and Dubravka, Ten Hag replied: "I think so, it will be for this window the end but when there is a great opportunity we always have to be alert at this top club.

"Of course, Aaron will stay in, so this squad, we will go from September to minimum January but we will play with this squad this season."

Ten Hag also reiterated Cristiano Ronaldo was a part of his plans amid Napoli's efforts to push through a deal: "Clear, of course. I just said we need quality players.

"You need more to cover all the games, to keep the consistency going, that is what we strive for."

Wan-Bissaka, 24, has started in four of the last 29 Premier League games and former United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wanted to sign Kieran Trippier last year.

Crystal Palace have expressed interest in re-signing Wan-Bissaka but are reluctant to spend more than £10million on a player they sold for £45m three years ago.
