Erik ten Hag future LIVE Manchester United manager latest and Thomas Tuchel updates

Manchester United will be targeting a return to winning ways when they host Brentford at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

The Reds signed off for the international break on a run of five games without a victory in all competitions, ending with last Sunday's 0-0 draw with Aston Villa at Villa Park.

Despite their poor form and underwhelming start to the campaign, manager Erik ten Hag looks set to survive this international break and take charge of the clash with the Bees. The Manchester Evening News reported on Friday that he is expecting to be at the helm for the visit of Brentford.

The clash will be the first of seven games United must navigate between the restart and the November international break, meaning the upcoming period is set to be crucial for Ten Hag and his chances of keeping his job. Five of United's next seven games are at Old Trafford.

Former Bayern Munich head coach Thomas Tuchel is continuing to be linked with the prospect of replacing him but he has also been heavily linked with the England job.

United will 'listen to offers' for defender Harry Maguire in the January transfer window, according to a report by the Daily Star.

It is claimed that United will entertain offers starting at just £10million for the centre-back.

Maguire was forced off in last weekend's 0-0 draw with Aston Villa and faces 'a few weeks' on the sidelines.

According to German publication BILD, as cited by the Mirror, United were 'interested' in appointing Stuttgart boss Sebastian Hoeneß as their manager during the summer.
