Erik ten Hag discusses Manchester United as Declan Rice drops major transfer hint

England star Declan Rice has dropped the biggest hint yet he will stay put at West Ham this summer amid transfer interest from Manchester United and other potential suitors.

The 23-year-old was identified as a priority target for United in their search for a top-level defensive midfielder. But amid concerns that the Hammers will dig their heels in over a valuation for the player key figures in the Old Trafford boardroom have, also, drawn up the framework for a possible deal involving Leeds talisman Kalvin Phillips.

Of course, they are midfield partners in crime for the England national team. Rice and West Ham were heart-broken on Thursday night as their Europa League final hopes were dashed by Bundesliga opponents Eintracht Frankfurt and that result prompted Rice to address speculation over his future with the Londoners.
