Eric Tinker, Cape Town City part ways as club set to announce interim coach
Cape Town City Football Club announced on Tuesday that manager Eric Tinkler has left the club by mutual consent.
Tinkler guided the club to second, fourth, and fifth-place finishes in the league over the last three seasons, but this season, City languish in 12th spot on the Betway Premiership log with just three wins from 10 games.
Cape Town City and head coach Eric Tinkler have mutually agreed to part ways. The club expresses gratitude towards Eric for the last three seasons where he presided over 2nd, 4th and 5th place finishes. We wish Eric the very best for the future.

In a statement released to the media, the club expressed their gratitude to Tinkler and announced that a new interim coach would be named to replace him.
This was Tinkler's second stint at City. During his first, he led the club to Telkom Knockout glory in 2016 after they beat SuperSport United 2-1 in the final of the competition.
