Eric Dier urges Paratici, Levy to see reality of exciting Tottenham path with big summer predicted

Eric Dier claims that Tottenham now have further success in their grasp after triumphantly confirming Champions League football for next season.

Spurs have yet again pipped their north London rivals Arsenal to the final Champions League spot in the Premier League table. The top four seemed all but sealed until Tottenham emphatically overcame their rivals in a 3-0 derby win.

And after Spurs’ 1-0 win over Burnley coupled with Arsenal’s 2-0 defeat to Newcastle gave Tottenham a simple task to confirm their top-four place. And they thrashed Norwich 5-1 away to confirm their place back in the Champions League.

Tottenham had a rocky start to the campaign, so much so that Nuno Espirito Santo was sacked in January after failing to live up to pre-season expectations.

The acquisition of Antonio Conte, however, had turned their fortunes around and Spurs will now play Champions League football next season.

Dier has had his say on the club’s future and what director of football Fabio Paratici and chairman Daniel Levy need to do in the upcoming transfer window for the club to become even more competitive.

“I think the club needs to take advantage of this moment, take advantage of this team and this manager,” Dier told Football London.

“It’s in the club’s hands now. We’ve done our job and now it’s the club’s job this summer to do the best work they can.

“I’m sure they’ll try to do the best they can to put us in a position next season for us and the manager to continue to push on and get better and better.

“It’s not just investment. The club has a lot of room for improvement in many different areas. Everyone always points to investment but that’s just one part of it.”
