Eoin Doyle: No better man than Alan Reynolds to rally Bohemians troops for his derby debut as manager

If Bohemians are to get the immediate benefit of a new manager bounce, it won't have been better timed given a trip to Tallaght to face derby rivals Shamrock Rovers is their next assignment.

On Friday night, live on RTÉ2 and the RTÉ Player, Alan Reynolds will take charge of Bohs for the first time and it's a daunting debut.

While reigning four-in-a-row champions Rovers have made a slow start to their title defence, they did pick up a first win of the campaign away at Galway United before the international break and that will have eased the pressure on Stephen Bradley's side.

Bohs, on the other hand, will hope Reynolds can kickstart a resurgence in style and speaking on this week's RTÉ Soccer Podcast, former Shamrock Rovers, Sligo Rovers and St Patrick's Athletic striker Eoin Doyle
