Manchester will open the UEFA Women's Euro 2022 tournament tonight as a sell-out crowd at Old Trafford welcomes England's Lionesses when they face Austria.

England open the tournament at Old Trafford, before heading south to Brighton and Southampton to face Northern Ireland and Norway.

Sarina Wiegman's side are in good form going into a home tournament, where over 500,000 tickets have already been sold. Among the Lionesses squad are seven Manchester City players - Ellie Roebuck, Alex Greenwood, Demi Stokes, Keira Walsh, Lauren Hemp, Chloe Kelly and Ellen White - plus two recently departed Blues in Georgia Stanway and Lucy Bronze,

Manchester United goalkeeper Mary Earps looks set to start as number one, with Ella Toone and Alessia Russo also hoping to feature after good seasons in the WSL. Three group games and a quarter-final will be held at Leigh Sports Village in the coming days, with three group games at City's Academy Stadium.
