England star praised for fearless performance in historic Wembley win vs USA

Georgia Stanway scored the winner for England against the USA at Wembley and fans have hailed her performance.

In a thrilling first half, with the score at 1-1, the midfielder converted from the penalty spot to restore England’s advantage.

Despite some VAR drama, England managed to hold on to their lead and secure a first victory over the World champions in five years.

Fans were quick to laud Stanway on her performance after the game and praised her fearlessness and determination on the pitch.

“I’ve always thought she seemed the type that would absolutely truck her own grandmother over if she played on the opposite team,” one joked.

Another echoed this idea and  wrote: “People must dread to play against Georgia Stanway, I love it.”

A third added: “Truly believe Georgia Stanway would put her head in a blender if it meant winning the ball.”

Stanway herself clearly agreed with the assertion and replied to the tweet by saying: “Agree.”

“Yeah it was special,” she said. “It’s kind of
