England Rugby World Cup squad announcement Live updates as Steve Borthwick names 33-man party

England head coach Steve Borthwick will name his 33-man squad for the Rugby World Cup today.

The full squad will be announced at 10am, with only the finest and in-form players being selected for a place in the final cut.

The less-than-satisfactory performance against Wales will have no doubt made it slightly easier for Borthwick to decide who's not getting on the plane next month. Nevertheless, there are still some big calls to make.

England are blessed with wing talent, inexperienced flyers and rising stars. Despite the substandard display against Wales, Joe Cokanasiga looked strong on the left flank, and provided the English with real power and size in the back line. Will the 6ft 4in Bath man make the cut?

The 2019 World Cup finalists get the ball rolling at the 2023 tournament with a match against Argentina on September 9.

Stay locked in here for the full announcement at 10am.
