England quickie joins MI Cape Town as wild card signing
MI Cape Town have signed England fast bowler Jofra Archer as their wild card for next year's SA20.
This comes after league organisers on Monday introduced a new wild card signing option for the six franchise teams.
Teams are allowed to sign a South African or overseas cricketer. The player has a base price of R175 000, with a salary cap at the discretion of the team.
Archer hasn't played for England since March 2021 due to a right elbow injury, which was followed by a stress fracture of his lower back.
He is currently with the England Lions in Abu Dhabi and bowled nine overs in a three-day warm-up match against England's Test squad on Wednesday.

In six T20 matches, Hermann has also scored 186 runs at an average of 46.50 and a strike rate of 116.25.
