Manchester City fans are enjoying another good week on the pitch after the midweek result against Young Boys in the Champions League.
Erling Haaland's brace and a Phil Foden wondergoal was enough to secure progression to the next phase in Europe once again. Unfortunately for the Blues, there was a setback for John Stones.
The defender is set to be out for 'a while' according to manager Pep Guardiola and this news will have thrown a spanner in the works for City as they prepare for a test against Chelsea. England manager Southgate admits he "completely understands" why City midfielder Phillips has been unable to command regular game-time at the Etihad Stadium.
Phillips, 27, has only started five matches for the treble-winners in all competitions since his £45million switch to the club from Leeds United last summer. Despite that, the playmaker remains a regular starter for his country and has been named in the latest Three Lions squad.

Haaland seemed a shoo-in to win the Ballon d'Or this year after scoring a whopping 52 goals in all competitions for the Blues. He ended the campaign not only top goalscorer in the Premier League but also the Champions League as City went on to complete the Treble.
