Emotional Andy Murray makes summer retirement OFFICIAL as 'awful' defeat proves too much to bear

Scottish sporting great Andy Murray has dropped a bombshell by announcing he will hang up his racquet at the end of the summer.

The Dunblane hero suffered another disappointing exit in the Dubai Open on Wednesday afternoon, losing 6-2, 6-4 to French fifth seed Ugo Humbert in the second round. He said: "Hopefully I can get the chance to compete at another one. When the time is right I will probably say something before I play my last match and my last tournament. Whether I say anything months ahead of the time I don't know."

The Parisian summer Olympics is set to take place from July 27 to August 4, shortly after Wimbledon wraps up on July 14. On top of this, Murray has also voiced
