Emmerdale star's two-word response as they reveal new role after soap exit
Emmerdale fans were saddened to witness the end of an era for one character this month.
Amelia Spencer, portrayed by Daisy Campbell, departed the popular ITV soap after a 13-year run last week.
The 21-year-old actress first appeared in the village in 2011 and made her final appearance earlier this month, as Amelia left for a fresh start following the downfall of Tom King.
As part of her exit storyline, Amelia decided to move in with her biological father, Daz Spencer, played by Mark Jordon, who reprised his role for a special one-off episode after previously leaving in 2019.
Shortly after her on-screen departure, Daisy took to Instagram to express her excitement about an upcoming project. She shared a series of photos, including behind-the-scenes shots and a script, and wrote in a two-word response: "So excited!"
She added: "So excited to be apart of this important project with @rocking_horse_media and can't wait to start. Best team we had last Tuesday" while tagging her co-stars and team, adding: "Here comes a STORM."
This follows a previous social media post where Daisy teased her new project, stating: "I feel so privileged to have been approached to play the lead role of Lacey in Storm. Especially because this original drama will raise awareness of something so serious and harrowing for the survivors who have experienced it, and that is historical abuse", reports Leeds Live.
