Emmerdale spoilers with Ruby's DNA test, Cain's struggle, Marlon's nightmare continues and a villager says goodbye
Amidst April's continued disappearance, her loved ones face new challenges in Emmerdale next week following Marlon's nightmare and Rhona's past gets dredged up in the press.
Marlon dreams that April has been found dead, but in an attempt to protect Rhona from getting upset he delays in telling her, and when he eventually shares the prospect that April might be dead after all, he and Rhona weep together.
As he paces the streets of Leeds and engages passers by in his search, Marlon sees a young girl looking like April in the distance, and races to intercept her.
He is then shocked to be stopped in his tracks by Ross who tries his best to keep Marlon's hopes up with regards to finding April. Unfortunately for the pair, they are surrounded by reminders that April is just one of hundreds of thousands missing people.
Meanwhile, Rhona is horrified as she comes face to face with her past on the Hotten Courier website. After reeling from the trauma of her actions being used to cast aspersions about her being responsible for April’s disappearance, Rhona feels paranoid about who could have betrayed her to the press.
Also in the village, Joe Tate offers Noah VIP tickets to the Leeds match in a bid to build bridges. When Charity finds out she gets frustrated that Joe is trying to worm his way into Noah's life and sets Ross on him to get Joe to back off. While Ross' intervention warns Joe off, what other schemes will he come up with to get close to him?
Later, Ruby returns with an envelope containing the DNA test results, but has to stuff the evidence in her bag as Caleb returns. The next day, after spending the whole night agonising, Ruby tries once more to read the contents before Steph interrupts her by coming down the stairs.
