Emmerdale's Mandy Dingle shocks fans over how much she charges amid sex work storyline

Emmerdale fans were left gobsmacked over finding out Mandy Dingle's prices amid her new sex work storyline.

The TV favourite (Lisa Riley), who has been on the soap since 1996, is grappling with financial difficulties and has been concealing the truth from fiancé Paddy (Dominic Brunt).

Fans will remember that Mandy currently runs PampaManda, a beauty salon in the village where Amelia Spencer works. However, recent episodes have shown Mandy struggling.

She eventually confided in Rhona Goskirk, revealing she was thousands of pounds in debt. With her honeymoon looming, and in a desperate move, Mandy will soon become a financial dominatrix.

The idea is brought up after a conversation with Gail, who suggested Mandy should be getting paid for her bossy nature. She then signed up for a website to become a Findom, creating the persona of Madamme Diamante Dales.

However, earlier this week, Mandy covertly attempted to add a £20 surcharge to Tracy Metcalfe's nail appointment. Tracy refused, insisting she has always paid £30, not £50 at her salon.

And it’s fair to say it was the price that Mandy charges for nails at her salon, that got plenty of viewers talking.

On an Emmerdale Facebook fan page, one person shared their shock at her fee and said: “Just a question from a man obviously not knowing anything about it, do women really pay £35 to get their nails done?”

A second said proclaimed: “I was thinking the same! I should open a nail bar.” A third wrote: “Extortionate!” Another penned: “That’s a bargain these days,” as another wrote: “Yes and sometimes more!”
