Emmerdale's Laura Norton shares worry amid maternity leave return

Emmerdale star Laura Norton has admitted to some nerves about her return to work after welcoming her second child into the world. The actress recently reprised the role of Kerry Wyatt in the ITV soap with her first scenes back set to air next week.

It's been over a year since Kerry left the village in late 2022 in the wake of her fiancé Al Chapman's death. Speaking about her return to the Leeds-based set, Laura said: "I started to wonder, 'Can I walk and talk at the same time? Can I act?' I had such a long period of time off because I had a year and half off with Jesse, a year back, and then off again."

She added: "When I had my first couple of days back, I was constantly checking my phone just to see how the kids were. But I’m slowly starting to go, ‘Everything’s fine.’ I’ve come home and they’re both very happy, well rested and well fed – so now I can be present and do a good job."

Spoilers have revealed that next week in Emmerdale, Amy and her fiance Matty Baron set a date for their wedding but are shocked when Kerry is
