Emmerdale's Kelvin Fletcher 'emotional' as daughter, 7, follows footsteps in soap role
Former Emmerdale star Kelvin Fletcher has shared his emotional delight at his daughter following in his footsteps as she made her debut in her first-ever role. The actor took to social media to gush over seven-year-old Marnie after she joined the cast of Hollyoaks.
The youngster has been introduced to the Channel 4 soap as Lexi Roscoe, the daughter of Lindsey and Freddie Roscoe, but the adoptive daughter of Joe Roscoe and Mercedes McQueen.
Lexi was born back in 2016 but hours after she was born, killer nurse Lindsey was murdered by Silas Blissett. Freddie couldn't look at the baby without thinking of Lindsey and decided he wasn't ready to be a father, so Freddie's brother Joe and his then-girlfriend Mercedes adopted her.

In November 2016, after Joe's death, Lexi and her half-brother JJ Roscoe were taken to South Africa to be raised by their grandmother Sandy Roscoe, who was named as their legal guardian in Joe's will. But the following year, Sandy's sister Christine returned Lexi to Freddie before he later went to South Africa himself on the run.
But with Freddie back in the village, Lexi, who is now eight-years-old, has also made a comeback and is playing by Kelvin's daughter Marnie. And the apple doesn't fall far from the tree with Kelvin being famed for playing Andy Sugden in Emmerdale while her mum, Liz Fletcher, is also an actress.
