Emmerdale fans slam 'gangster rubbish' as some compare soap to Peaky Blinders

Emmerdale has stepped up the action this week, after the theft of Manpreet's necklace, the death of Victor Anderson and PC Swirling appearing quickly at the scene of the crime. But some fans aren't that pleased with the all-action take on the Dales.

On Thursday's (August 31) hour-long programme, viewers were concerned over the antics of Harry, brought into play by Caleb. Nate had previously found Corey shifting illegal guns and took action, but he was forced to hide them when Tracy arrived.

Caleb was angry after Nate revealed all and rushed to retrieve them. But they were missing, causing Nate to panic. When Corey heard of the missing guns he grew worried, knowing who the firearms belonged to.

Angry and irritable, intimidating Harry brought his heavies along and Caleb's pleas for calm fell on deaf ears. He ended up getting quite a kicking - one which fans didn't expect in the rural soap.
