Emmerdale fans say 'please no' as they think they recognise newcomer Oscar from rival soap

Emmerdale fans have been left saying 'please no' as they were distracted by newcomer Oscar. Fans of the ITV soap have been slightly suspicious of Gail ever since she arrived in the village back in May before rekindling a relationship with former flame Ryan Stocks.

And last week, their reasons to be suspicious were proven right when it was revealed that Gail has a son who she gave up for adoption as a baby. Adoptive mum, Sophie, had tracked her down via social media, and was desperately heard telling her that Oscar was ill and needed a bone marrow transplant but she wasn't a match.

Gail later underwent the test herself but also wasn't a match, meaning biological father Ryan could be Oscar's last chance at getting the help he needs. Ryan reluctantly agreed to be tested, however, he soon turned down the chance to actually meet his son while Gail went ahead to see the now-13-year-old.

Sophie was left to take Gail to meet Oscar on her own, while Ryan went home and secretly packed a bag as he made plans to leave the village. Over at the hospital, it was a frosty reunion for Gail when she finally met her son and had to answer some very difficult questions.

Gail struggled to open up to her son, explaining that her mouth doesn't always catch up with her brain leaving Oscar to angrily ask her to "speed it up" since he had many questions to get through and not much time. Gail later opened up to Marlon Dingle about their reunion and Gail soon found out that Ryan had packed up and left the village to go stay with his brother Josh for a while.
