Emma Willis gives Matt 'hard to hear criticism of flaws' as he fears strain on marriage

Matt Willis has addressed constructive criticism from his friends and family on the latest episode of his On The Mend podcast, in which the Busted star explores his own recovery journey after battling drug and alcohol addiction, while speaking to others from "all walks of life" who have "hit rock bottom". The singer, 41, explained that when he asked his wife Emma Willis, 48, what he needs to work on in his self-improvement journey, she addressed his tendency to fail in following through with his ideas and plans.

Matt linked this "flaw" to his struggles with ADHD, and pointed out that Emma isn't the only one who has alerted him to this particular trait. He told listeners: "I asked Emma about it, and she thought about it for quite a while, and then she basically gave me the same one which I've said before, which is I don't follow through with things. It was worded slightly different, but that was the message."

He added: "She basically said, 'You have so many ideas, which is hard to keep up with at times, and I don't want to disregard your passion and ideas for stuff, but there's so many, and so few of them are going to take flight'."

"And she was like, 'I don't want to stop you from being this creative thing that comes up with all this stuff, but you don't follow through on most of them, and some of them which you come to that are important, you don't follow through with.'".

Matt has candidly shared that his wife's frank feedback was "hard to hear" but he recognises it as an area for personal improvement, reports the Express.

He elaborated: "I'm trying to structure my life and go, right, what do I need to be passionate about? What do I need to put my focus and attention on, which is needed and has to be done?".
