Emma Raducanu says latest sponsorship deal is "so natural" for her
Emma Raducanu has added another brand endorsement deal to her ever-growing business portfolio after signing a four-year agreement with HSBC.
The British number one revealed she is hoping her link up with the UK bank will educate young people in finance.
HSBC is Raducanu’s seventh addition to her expansive blue-chip folder.
Since winning the US Open last September, the world number 12 has attracted attention from a lot of brands looking to work with her. However, she has stressed in the past that it is important for her to “align with partners and brands that I really feel passionate about.”
Partnering with HSBC is another passion project for the 19-year-old. With both parents working in finance, it is something that has also been of interest to Raducanu for many years.
“To partner with HSBC is so natural for me having grown up playing in the HSBC Road to Wimbledon and having been a customer for many years,” she said.
“If I wasn’t a tennis player, I would definitely want to work in finance so I’m excited to learn more about the industry in the years to come.
“We are working on some really cool ideas and I’m particularly looking forward to working on initiatives that help young people, such as financial education, but watch this space.”
A deal with HSBC is just one of the high profile brands Raducanu has struck a deal with since becoming the US Open champion in 2021.
Following her pre-existing sponsorship with Nike, the British number one expanded her portfolio by signing agreements with jeweller Tiffany & Co and French fashion house Dior.
More deals soon came through the door as Raducanu announced partnerships with Porsche and British Airways, as well as water brand Evian and UK telecommunications company Vodafone.
