Emma Raducanu posts adorable throwback after competing at Canadian Open
British tennis star Emma Raducanu posted an adorable throwback after spending time in Toronto for the Canadian Open.
The world number 10 fell in the first round of the WTA 1000 event, losing 7-6, 6-2 to Camila Giorgi of Italy.
It was another blow to Raducanu’s preparations for her US Open title defence, with the Grand Slam set to get underway at Flushing Meadows on August 29th.
But the 19-year-old seemed in good spirits as she spent time in her city of birth.
She was born in Toronto in 2002 to a Romanian father and Chinese mother, with her family moving to England when she was two-years-old.
Raducanu recreated a photograph from her time living in the Canadian city, posting the pictures side by side on Instagram.
In the first photo, Raduancu is seen waving with the CN Tower in the background. In the second photo, a young Raducanu and her mother are seen in the same location, waving at the camera.
