Iga Swiatek has maintained her place at the top of the latest WTA rankings, while Emma Raducanu also keeps her spot in 12th.
As the French Open looms, the current rankings will provide an accurate indicator of how players are likely to be seeded for the second major of the year.
With just a week to go until Roland-Garros, here’s a look at how things currently stand:
Swiatek won her fifth title in a row at the Italian Open on Sunday, stretching her remarkable winning run to 28 matches.
The 20-year-old has not lost since assuming the number one ranking from Ashleigh Barty in March and is closing in on Venus Williams’ record of 35 straight victories, dating back to 2000.
Swiatek is now more than 2000 points ahead of Barbora Krejcikova, who remains second in the latest rankings.
Iga Swiatek has won…– her last 28 matches– her last 8 finals and all 16 sets in those finals – her last 5 tournaments (Doha-IW-Miami-Stuttgart-Rome)– 42 of her last 43 sets It’s absolutely mind-blowing
