Emirates Stadium sold out for Arsenal women's Champions League clash
Arsenal have confirmed that they have sold out The Emirates Stadium for the women's Champions League semi-final second-leg clash with Wolfsburg.
Katie McCabe and her team-mates will play in front of a capacity crowd of 60,704 on Monday as they seek to book a Champions League final showdown against Barcelona.
The Gunners and Wolfsburg are level at 2-2 after the first leg in Germany last week and a sold-out Emirates could give them the edge they need to secure their place in the final to be played in Eindhoven on Saturday 3 June.
This is the first time that Arsenal will play in front of capacity crowd in their home stadium, breaking the attendance record that was set for the north London derby against Tottenham in September of 2022, when more than 53,000 tickets were sold.
"It's wonderful news that such a huge match for us has sold out," said Arsenal chief executive Vinai Venkatesham.
"We would like to say thank you to our supporters, with all available tickets sold for Monday’s match.
"We also say thank you for your fantastic support throughout the season - at Emirates Stadium, at Meadow Park and at grounds across England and Europe.
"It promises to be an exciting night in north London and we’re delighted that [manager] Jonas [Eidevall] and our women’s first team will have the backing of so many supporters on this big occasion in the club’s history."
