Emergency services swarm industrial estate with roads closed after 'chemical spill'
Emergency services swarmed an industrial estate in Rochdale this morning and closed a number of roads after a 'chemical spill'.
Pictures showed police officers, firefighters and paramedics on the scene at the Stakehill Industrial Estate in Rochdale earlier this morning. An incident command unit van was also stationed on Touchet Hall Road.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police confirmed officers responded to a 'chemical spill' at around 5.40am. This stemmed from a package in the Yodel warehouse, the Manchester Evening News understands.

A number of road closures were put in place on Touchet Hall Road and Finlan Road as precaution. The GMP spokesperson added that the chemical was deemed to be 'unharmful'.
The incident was then stood down by emergency services. By around 8am, all roads were reopened.
The North West Ambulance Service, the Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service and Yodel have also been contacted for further details.
