A post on the BMRT Facebook page said: "At 02:41 this morning the team was contacted by North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust who were requesting our assistance to locate a male, believed to be unconscious after a fall, in the vicinity of Haslam Park, Bolton.

"The first team members were on scene at 03:02 and set off on foot with the NWAS crew towards the last known position of the casualty. At the same time officers from Greater Manchester Police approached the same position (from a different direction) and fortunately located the male, now conscious but cold.

"The male was conveyed back to the Haslam Park RVP by police where he was initially assessed by our team members and then handed over to the NWAS crew. The team was on the scene for 90 minutes."
