Elton John drops potential hint about his future during massive Glastonbury performance

Sir Elton John has perhaps dropped a massive hint about his future at his huge Glastonbury Festival headlining show.

Sir Elton, playing the Pyramid Stage in an iconic gold suit and orange glasses, with a packed crowd stretching as far as the eye can see, kicked off the show with Pinball Wizard with fireworks filling the air at Worthy Farm.

This huge Glastonbury Festival show is part of his Farewell Yellowbrick Road Tour. This is due to be his last ever performance in the UK while the tour itself finishes at the start of next month in Sweden.

However, some have picked up on a potential changing of his mind. Addressing the crowd early on, he said: "Ah wow, I never thought I'd ever play Glastonbury and here I am! It is a very special and emotional night for me because it may be my last show ever in England and Great Britain. So I better play well and I better entertain you. Because you have been standing there so long.

"I really appreciate all the outfits and everything. Okay, here we go."

Sir Elton, 76, definitely looks like he has the energy left in him for a few more shows at least. Only time will tell if this was a slip of the tongue in the heat of the moment.

Sir Elton’s husband David Furnish previously revealed the singer was to be joined by four special guests during his headline set. Britney Spears, Eminem and Dua Lipa are among the musicians rumoured to be joining him on stage.
