'Elite' UK service station dubbed 'the GOAT' because of what it has to offer

Nothing makes a long road trip worthwhile than a decent service station pit stop. While it’s an opportunity to stretch your legs, the best thing about breaking up a long journey like a fast-food feast.

There’s nothing like the bitterly disappointing feeling you get when you realise you’ve pulled into a service station that only has the saddest sandwiches you’ve ever seen, you have to pay out the nose for.

However, one refuel stop has been hailed as “service station heaven” offering some of the “best services in the country”, so much so people have even planned their route around it.

On Sunday (Feb 25), a post went viral on X by user @biglunty who shared a picture of all the services at Cobham station at Junction 9/10 on the M25 in Surrey. He tweeted: “nah man what a lineup,” referring to all the fast food it’s home to.

Some of the ‘main stage acts’ include a 24-hour Maccies and Starbucks, KFC, Greggs, Nando’s, Pizza Express, Pret A Manger, Chopstix noodle bar, El Mexicana and Tapori curry bar.

The tweet attracted a lot of attention, with fans of the service station saying it has a “better line-up than Coachella” and “the Live Aid of service stations. Football fan @steamedclamd dubbed it “The Real Madrid 2017 of service stations.”

It even got the attention of Greggs, who said “Cobham services is ELITE,” while Burger King, which you won’t find at Cobham, added: “Just missing one thing…”
