Eight Manchester United players on transfer notice ahead of Arsenal opening game

Manchester United are expected to be busy in the summer transfer market - both in terms of incomings and outgoings.

Ruben Amorim's side now know they will kick off their Premier League campaign at home to Arsenal but the squad as it is now will look very different come August 17.

United will hope to blood some new signings against the Gunners but there will be a number of departures this summer, too.

With that in mind, here is a look at eight United players who are on transfer notice ahead of that first game of the season.

United are expected to make at least one change to the goalkeeping department but the question is whether it is their first or second choice goalkeeper who leaves this summer.

Tom Heaton will certainly remain as third choice goalkeeper after agreeing to a new contract but there are two different scenarios that could play out this summer.

The first is that Andre Onana leaves the club amid interest from Monaco and the Saudi Pro League. His departure would see United sign a new number one goalkeeper, with Aston Villa star Emi Martinez being linked with a move to the club.

The other scenario is that Onana stays and United sign a new second choice goalkeeper to offer him stronger competition. That would then see Turkish international Altay Bayindir leave the club.

Malacia was shipped off on loan to PSV in January but didn't do enough in that spell to convince the Dutch champions to make the move permanent.
