EFL pundit shares score prediction ahead of West Brom vs Bournemouth

Possessing the faintest chance of securing a play-off spot, West Brom know they will need to enter perfect form starting with tomorrow’s clash with Bournemouth.

The Baggies have seen their chances of reaching the much-desired play-off positions diminish in 2022, with Steve Bruce being unable to see the immediate success that was needed after the club parted company with Valerien Ismael.

Despite their troubles, the Baggies have been difficult opposition to come up against on home soil, averaging 1.89 PPG at The Hawthorns.

Looking to edge themselves closer to a Premier League return, the Cherries will be eager to avoid any dramas and pick up all three points tomorrow evening.

Bournemouth have also averaged 1.89 PPG away from The Vitality Stadium this season and will be striving to improve that statistic.

Issuing his score prediction via his Sky Sports column, David Prutton believes that the Cherries will take a step towards England’s top-tier with a 2-1 victory.

The verdict

Despite form seemingly turning for the Baggies over recent weeks, they put in a below-par performance against Birmingham City at the weekend and were subsequently punished.

It would appear that the Baggies’ chances of securing a top-six spot are now gone, however, a convincing display and result tomorrow, then they will start to believe once more, should other results fall into their favour too.

Bournemouth have a tricky end to this season, something that is keeping the sides who are chasing a play-off spot alerted too.

The Cherries will be hoping to avoid an unnecessary drama with all three points at The Hawthorns tomorrow.
