Edo FA to hold Federation Cup draws January 29

The Edo State Football Association has fixed Wednesday January 29, 2025, for the draws and Media Parley of the FA Cup competition.

According to the chairman of Edo State FA, Fred Newton Erhunmwunse, the event is scheduled to take place at the media centre of the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium, in Benin City by 12 Noon.

He stated that all participating teams are expected to send two persons each to represent them at the ceremony.

The Edo FA boss disclosed that the ceremony will also witness the unveiling of Peculiar Ultimate Concern as the new sponsor of the 2025 Edo FA Cup competition.

24 male teams and six women teams will compete in the Edo FA cup this year. The competition will kick off on Wednesday February 5, and end on Sunday February 23, 2025 as directed by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF)

Bendel Insurance FC and Edo Queens are the defending champions of the Edo FA Cup.
