Edinson Cavani: Remembering Man Utd fan's incredible rant when he signed

Uruguayan superstar Edinson Cavani looks set to depart Manchester United in the summer following a disappointing second season at Old Trafford.

The 35-year-old has managed just two goals in 15 appearances this term, with his playing time badly hampered by both injuries and the return of Cristiano Ronaldo to the club.

Cavani’s recent struggles, though, should not take away from the fantastic debut season he enjoyed at the ‘Theatre of Dreams’. Bagging 17 goals in 39 appearances, only Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford found the net more for the Red Devils in 2020/21.

The outspoken fan, who regularly goes viral on social media for his rages about all things United, slammed Cavani’s acquisition as a move made out of desperation in a rant of spectacular proportions against those in charge at Old Trafford.

“Oh my life,” a dejected Goldbridge declared in a video uploaded shortly before Cavani was confirmed as a United player.

“It gets worse. ‘Man Utd see Cavani as a great opportunity’. He’s been a great opportunity for eight f***ing months. He’s been a free agent for eight months.”

Cavani’s previous deal at Paris-Saint Germain had actually expired some four months earlier, but Goldbridge was correct in pointing out that United could have acted far earlier.“You are full of s***,” said Goldbridge of those in charge of his team. “Who is running this football club? Seriously! This is not about Cavani, I hope he works really well, but who is putting this spinny bulls*** out there?

Goldbridge has gone
