Edge: WWE set to change his character again when he returns

WWE Hall of Famer, Edge could be set for a character change following his removal from The Judgement Day this past week on Raw.

The June 6th episode of Monday Night Raw saw the announcement of a new member being added to The Judgement Day, and a smug looking Edge took to the ring alongside Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest to reveal who had joined the trio.

It was soon revealed that the new recruit was Finn Balor, who had reached out to Ripley and Priest to join the faction, despite being involved in matches opposing The Judgement Day in recent weeks.

Balor was welcomed into the group before Priest got on the mic to say it was time to shed the last thing holding the stable back, signally a turn on their leader by launching an attack on Edge.

The remaining trio downed the WWE Hall of Famer by putting Edge through a table before delivering a con-chair-to and then standing over the broken body of the 47-year-old.

Edge’s removal from the group he created shocked WWE fans, but it seems that the Rated R Superstar could be set for a character shift when he returns to TV.

According to PWInsider, WWE have moved Edge over to the babyface side of the roster on Monday Night Raw and this was a way of executing his turn. Possibly in response to the injury to Cody Rhodes, leaving a big gap on the red brand for a number one babyface.

There is no confirmation of when Edge will be back on television, however it’s excepted that The Judgement Day will be allowed to run riot on Raw in the upcoming weeks before their former leader returns for retribution – possibly to set up a major match at this year’s SummerSlam.
