Ederson, Jack Grealish - Latest Man City injury news and return dates after Liverpool draw

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola will be hoping that Ederson's injury picked up against Liverpool on Sunday isn't a serious one. The goalkeeper was forced off shortly after conceding a penalty.

The Brazilian brought down Darwin Nunez inside the penalty area shortly after half-time. Alexis Mac Allister converted the spot-kick before Ederson was replaced by Stefan Ortega in the 56th minute.

Guardiola's men are next in action next Saturday in the FA Cup against Newcastle United. Ortega has played in all of City's FA Cup games this season and is expected to resume his spot inbetween the sticks.

With that in mind, MEN Sport has taken a look at the latest Man City injury news after Sunday's thrilling draw with Liverpool.

The goalkeeper came off against Liverpool after clattering Nunez just three minutes after the restart. He continued for six minutes before receiving treatment and being replaced.

Injury: Leg.

Return date: N/A.

What Guardiola said: “It doesn’t look good."

Grealish has been sidelined after the FA Cup win over Luton Town. The forward has struggled with his fitness this season and isn't expected to be fit until the end of the month.

Injury: Groin/Hip/Pelvic.

What Guardiola said: "He will not be fit for this weekend. When he will come back, I don't know. I think he will not be fit [for the upcoming internationals]. He has had a setback; he has to recover well so we can use him as much as possible."
