Ederson boost, Haaland and De Bruyne decision - predicted Man City line-up vs Crystal Palace

Manchester City are back in Premier League action today when they face Crystal Palace.

Pep Guardiola's side have the opportunity to return to the top of the table provided the result and scoreline go in their favour. City are currently three points behind leaders Liverpool and one behind second-placed Arsenal.

City take on Palace knowing that a win would see them go level on points with Liverpool. Should City win by five or more goals then they would climb above the Anfield club on goal difference ahead of the Reds' clash against Manchester United on Sunday.

Guardiola's priority will be for City to win the game and leave Selhurst Park on Saturday afternoon with all three points. The City boss will have to do so without some of his key players due to injury.

Kyle Walker and Nathan Ake both remain on the sidelines due to injury. Walker has not played for City since suffering a muscle injury while on international duty with England.

Ake suffered an unspecified injury during the goalless draw with Arsenal last week. Now both remain unavailable for Saturday's clash against Crystal Palace.

There is good news on the injury front, though, with John Stones and Ederson set to return to the fold. Stones has not played for City since he also suffered an injury during the international break with England.

Stones has been named on the bench for City's last two games against Arsenal and Aston Villa. However, the centre-back has been an unused substitute but could make his return against Palace.
