Eddie Hearn's hilarious live TV blooper should never be forgotten

Not many personalities in sport cause as much conversation in the social media age than boxing promoter Eddie Hearn.

He is a much-maligned character, with some people loving him and finding him entertaining, and others not liking him whatsoever.

In fact, when he first started to step between the ropes, he was regularly booed by fans in a similar manner to a pantomime villain.

However, it seems like more recently, more people enjoy Hearn’s mannerisms and applaud him rather than critique him.

The Twitter page ‘No Context Eddie Hearn’ may have helped his popularity grow in all fairness.

This account is inundated with humorous clips and memes of the Matchroom boss and one of the most popular clips concerning Hearn took place when he was unaware that the cameras were rolling.

“Shamone motherf******” was what Hearn bellowed out just as the Sky Sports host throws to him for an introduction.

What prompted him to say this, we will never know, but thank goodness he did as we have been graced with an iconic Eddie Hearn moment.

As previously mentioned, he was thinking that the cameras were off and it was just a rehearsal, as he struck a very odd pose and exclaimed the phrase.

This iconic clip was birthed in the build up to Dillian Whyte’s first clash with Alexander Povetkin. It came just days before a Fight Camp that was headlined by Sam Eggington versus Ted Cheeseman in August of 2020.

Eggington was defeated by Cheeseman, this being his seventh professional defeat. Since then, though, with wins over the likes of Ashley Theophane and Carlos Ortiz, the Birmingham boy is seemingly back on track. Cheeseman, on the other hand, suffered his first defeat since then – last time out against fellow Brit Troy Williamson.
