Ebbsfleet United release Sido Jombati, Elliott Romain, Alex Finney and Kieran Monlouis after winning National League South title

Ebbsfleet have released four members of their National League South title-winning squad.

Defender Sido Jombati made 21 starts in all competitions and leaves Stonebridge Road alongside former Maidstone centre-back Alex Finney, who made nine starts and two substitute appearances during the campaign.

Also leaving the club are Elliott Romain, who signed from Dartford in 2021, but never started a league game in 2022/23 after a pre-season red card at Corinthian and a further sending-off in the Kent Senior Cup against Welling. He spent time on loan at Eastbourne and Hemel Hempstead.

The final departure is gifted midfielder Kieran Monlouis, whose campaign was blighted by injury. He made just five league starts, scoring against Concord and Tonbridge, although he never featured after the FA Cup Second Round defeat to Fleetwood at the end of November.

Goalkeeper Mark Cousins, Darren McQueen, Ben Chapman and Jack Paxman are all under contract for next season.

More players have signed up for National League football but the club will release those who have agreed new deals over the coming weeks. They state that they’ve made “contract offers to, are in discussions with, or have agreed extensions” with Rakish Bingham, Shaq Coulthirst, Greg Cundle, Franklin Domi, Toby Edser, Harrison Firth, Chris Haigh, Haydn Hollis, Joe Martin, Christian N’Guessan, Dominic Poleon, Luke O’Neill, Chris Solly, Omari Sterling-James, Craig Tanner and Josh Wright.

Billy Clifford was also on that list although he confirmed to KentOnline in February that he penned an 18-month deal after joining from Havant.
