Ebbsfleet manager Josh Wright releases six players, including Max Ehmer and Aaron Cosgrave, but retains 11 players, including player-of-the-year Ben Chapman

Former Gillingham defender Max Ehmer is among six players leaving Ebbsfleet at the end of the season.

Ehmer joined the Fleet last summer but has not been offered a new deal as boss Josh Wright sets about reshaping his squad after they failed to reach the National League South play-offs.

A total of 11 players from the current squad have already signed deals for the new campaign, with the Fleet keen to keep a core of the squad in place for the new campaign.

Also leaving the club after their deals ended at the end of the 2025/26 season, when the Fleet missed out on a top-seven spot by goal difference, are Elijah Anthony, Aaron Cosgrave, Ben Coker, Josh Coley and Ryan Sandford.

Former AFC Wimbledon and Dover forward Cosgrave initially joined on loan from FC Halifax in October 2024 before making the move permanent two months later.

Left-back Coker joined last summer from Barnet and Coley’s stay also lasted 12 months after he joined from Sutton.

Goalkeeper Sandford only played once for the Fleet, conceding four second-half goals in the defeat at Chesham in February. Anthony spent loan spells at Sittingbourne and VCD last season but was unable to break into the Fleet’s first team.

Player-of-the-season Ben Chapman, the club’s longest-serving player, heads the list of players staying at Stonebridge Road.

It will be a major boost for Fleet supporters as Chapman shone in a new advanced position under Wright, scoring nine goals including the club’s goal-of-the-season in the FA Trophy win over Braintree.

Also staying for the 2026/27 season are forward Kwesi Appiah, midfielders
