Ebbsfleet defenders Jamie Fielding and Mustapha Olagunju have left the National League South club after failing to agree new deals

Ebbsfleet have confirmed the departures of two defenders from last season’s squad.

Jamie Fielding and Mustapha Olagunju have both left the National League South club after failing to agree new deals over the close season.

The duo were in talks with the Fleet but have decided their futures lie elsewhere.

Ebbsfleet United can confirm the departure of defender Mustapha Olagunju on the conclusion of discussions with the player during the close season.

Former Stevenage centre-back Fielding arrived last summer from Tonbridge Angels but played only 13 times for the club due to injury. His only goal came in the FA Cup against Solihull Moors.

Olagunju joined the Fleet from Huddersfield, initially on loan in 2023. He played 86 times for the club and scored four goals.

He had a loan spell at Hemel Hempstead in November 2024 when Harry Watling was in charge of the Fleet.

Ebbsfleet have boosted their defensive options with Will Tizzard, Jake Vokins and Camron Gbadebo plus keeper Will Buse among the nine new faces signed in the close season so far.
