Easter weekend defeats for Chatham Town against Aveley and Dartford leave them with work to do in Isthmian Premier play-off hunt –Wingate & Finchley visit the Bauvill Stadium this Saturday

Chatham Town are back at home on Saturday and hoping for another big crowd to help them in their bid to secure an Isthmian Premier Division play-off spot.

Both of Chatham’s Easter weekend matches against fellow play-off chasing sides ended in defeat.

A 1-0 home loss to Aveley on Saturday - in front of a crowd of 2,232 - was followed up with a 3-2 loss at Dartford on Monday - Jordy Robins and Ben Allen with the goals.

Chatham have three games left and 15th-placed Wingate & Finchley head to the Bauvill Stadium this Saturday.

Chats boss Hake said: “What was really pleasing [last weekend] was the support we had, especially at home against Aveley.

“To have over 2,200 people there was fantastic and shows what this football club is building.

“It created a great atmosphere and it’s something we don’t take for granted.

“Now the focus turns to Saturday against Wingate & Finchley and we’ll need that same support again.

“The players feel it, and it makes a real difference in big moments.”

Together, we’re stronger.

Let’s get the stands full and give the lads the lift they deserve
