Actor Micah Balfour, known to EastEnders fans as the cunning Junior Knight, has quickly become a central figure in Albert Square since joining the BBC soap in May 2024.

Junior, the estranged son of George Knight, arrived in Walford with a chip on his shoulder and plenty of secrets to uncover. His strained relationship with his father has been a source of intense drama, with revelations about their shared past shaking the Knight family.

Micah, who is from Peckham, London, first gained prominence with his role as PC Benjamin Gayle in the ITV police drama The Bill, a character he portrayed until the show’s conclusion in 2010.

After leaving The Bill, Micah starred in the 2010 festive special of Doctor Who, playing the role of the co-pilot. He appeared alongside Matt Smith who was playing the Time Lord at the time.

The soap actor also starred as Dr Jermaine Bailey in Emmerdale from 2015 to 2016, where he featured as the village doctor who encountered serious trouble.
