Eastenders fans say Christmas special 'best episode ever' as viewers left 'shaking'

Eastenders viewers have hailed this year's Christmas special of the BBC soap as the 'best episode ever'.

Back in January of 2023, fans were told that a character would be supposedly murdered - but the identity was not revealed to viewers. In the clip, characters Suki Panesar, Stacey Slayer, Kathy Beale, Sharon Watts, Denise Fox, and Linda Carter, were all towering over the body in The Queen Vic. However, it wasn't clear at the time who the body belonged to and it hadn't been made any clearer throughout the year.

Each one of the women had come across male counterparts who could easily have been the victim. Finally, following Monday night's Christmas special, it was revealed that the body belonged to Keanu Taylor who was killed by Linda.

It first appeared that it was Nish Panesar who was the victim after he was hit over the head with a bottle of wine by Denise, as she tried to save Suki who he was dragging away.

However, as Suki carried out CPR on Nish - eventually appearing to revive him - Keanu attacked Sharon and began to strangle her. As the ladies struggled to get Keanu off, Linda picked up a turkey fork and stabbed him in the back. Keanu then let go and dropped dead before the episode ended.

It's safe to say viewers were left in shock by the episode - branding the festive episode as 'superb'.
