Eamon Montgomery claims bronze at World Cup

Eamon Montgomery added another medal to his collection as he claimed bronze in the floor event at the World Cup final event in Cairo.

Montgomery recorded a score of 14.066 in Egypt in what is the fourth and final event in the 2023 Artistic Gymnastics Apparatus World Cup series following a mark of 8.166 for expression off a 5.9 routine difficulty.

The 20-year-old Antrim man, coached by Conor McGovern, came in third behind Illia Kovtun - who improved dramatically from qualifying to score 14.433 - and Aurel Benovic of Croatio [14.166].
