Eagles' jab at Rams tops NFL divisional round trolls - ESPN
Even with the stakes higher, the trolls were still present in the NFL's divisional round.
The Philadelphia Eagles hung on to defeat the Los Angeles Rams 28-22 in the NFC divisional round on Sunday.
A snowy Lincoln Financial Field set the scene for a Rams' 4th-and-11 on the Eagles' 22-yard-line with 31 seconds left in the game. But, a pass from Los Angeles quarterback Matthew Stafford intended for wide receiver Puka Nacua went out of bounds, ending the drive and securing Philadelphia's victory.
Eagles running back Saquon Barkley ran for 205 yards and two touchdowns, including a 78-yard dash for a score. Stafford had 324 passing yards and two touchdowns, while Philadelphia signal caller Jalen Hurts accounted for 198 yards plus one rushing touchdown.
The win not only advanced the Eagles to the NFC Championship Game, but was also their second win of the season against the Rams. Philadelphia defeated Los Angeles 37-20 in Week 12 — and celebrated the sweep with a meme from «SpongeBob SquarePants.»
