Dying Light 2: How to unlock the secret bike

Dying Light 2 has been released worldwide on various consoles, including PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC, and it has plenty of secrets hidden in its labyrinthine world, and you can ride a secret bike.

When you’re not free running or killing zombies, Techland allows you the opportunity to unlock some cool secrets, and potentially use some pieces of kit that you wouldn’t necessarily expect.

And a new leak on Reddit, via NME, has revealed that there is a secret rideable bike that can be found, provided you’re playing the game on PC.

User Taki 7o7 has revealed on the Dying Light subreddit, as well as on YouTube, that the bicycle can be found in a very sneaky way, and you can then cycle your way around the beautiful world that developers Techland have created.

If you download a developer menu, via NexusMods, then you can access the bike and pedal around to your heart’s content.

Unfortunately, that means that those who are playing the game on console don’t have access to the bike, but it’s a cool snippet of something that was clearly designed to be in the game, but was perhaps scrapped in development.

Indeed, Taki 7o7’s video shows that the bike works and can be ridden as you would expect, so it is perhaps surprising that there is no way of unlocking it through normal means.

But it does make sense when one considers that there are numerous ways to traverse the city in the game, as you can use your own parkour, or also utilise a paraglider and a grappling hook.

That may be why there is something of a bizarre animation when you jump on the bike, and jumping off sends it flying. Clearly, the animation isn’t finished, and that again points to it being removed from the game.
