DWP Cold Weather Payments postcode checker - map of every area payments have been triggered in England
More than 280 postcodes across England have been triggered for Cold Weather Payments.
The £25 payment is handed out to some benefit claimants when temperatures have reached 0C or below for seven days consecutively. Postcodes across England and Wales are eligible for the benefits, with parts of Greater Manchester, Yorkshire, Cumbria and the North East passing the threshold as weather stations record subzero temperatures over the last few days.
Last year, more than 5.5 million Cold Weather Payments were issued by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP). The DWP says those claiming the following benefits may be eligible for the Cold Weather Payment; Pension Credit, Income Support, income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance (JSA), income-related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA), Universal Credit, Support for Mortgage Interest.

A full list of all the postcodes already receiving Cold Weather Payments has not yet been released. But MPs have been informed of postcode areas which are eligible for the payments in their constituencies.
