Dwayne Bacon extends with Dubai Basketball until 2028
DUBAI: Dubai Basketball has secured the future of one of its key players, with Dwayne Bacon signing a contract extension that will keep him at the club until 2028.
The American forward played a major role during the 2025-26 season, establishing himself as one of the team’s primary offensive weapons and a consistent performer throughout the campaign. He averaged 15.8 points, 4.1 rebounds, 2.2 assists and a PIR of 12.9 in the EuroLeague.
Bacon delivered several standout performances during the season, including a EuroLeague career-high 36 points against Hapoel Tel Aviv, the highest-scoring game by a Dubai Basketball player in the competition. He also recorded 10 EuroLeague games with 20 or more points, underlining his impact and scoring ability at the highest level.
His contributions extended beyond the EuroLeague, as he was selected to the 2025-26 ABA League Ideal Starting Five after averaging 13.8 points and 3.8 rebounds per game. A key figure in Dubai Basketball’s historic ABA League championship-winning season, Bacon’s extension ensures the club retains one of its most important players as it continues building for the future.
